Arizona Golf Authority AZGA Golf Course Buzz: This course was created as an amenity for guests of the Casa Grande Golf and RV Resort complex, who receive discounts on green fees, but is open to public play as well. It is basic, no-frills golf on an executive-style 18-hole course with mild desert terrain and water in play on just two holes.

The course plays to par 65 with three sets of tees at 4,530, 4,028 and 3,555 yards and it’s rated at 68, 67 and 65, respectively, with a slope of 89. The course has 11 par-4 holes, which range from 253 to 405 yards, meaning there are plenty of birdie opportunities, with the 405-yard 13th being the only hole on the course longer than 400 yards.

The seven par-3 holes range from 118 to 231 yards. The course is situated near Table Top Mountain, between Phoenix and Tucson and is close to downtown Casa Grande, in an area known for its many hiking trails; hence the course name “Trails”.

The course has a driving range, and since your RV is likely parked nearby, a hot tub and patio with a barbecue area overlooking the course, where golfers relax after the round. The clubhouse often hosts potluck dinners, card games and its pool table is popular with guests. Due to the desert heat, the course closes during summer months.
